Girls Weekend 2013

So Friday Sarah and I left Albany a little before 6. We were suppose to meet the rest of the girls at Stone Mountain for the laser show that night, but we knew we probably wouldn't make it. There was bad weather and we knew we would probably get into bad traffic. So of course we get there a few mins. before 10. The lady at the front gate told us that there were only about 15 mins left in the show. So we decided to just turn around. We were gonna find a CVS or something to stop at so Sarah could get a toothbrush cause she forgot hers. Well we find one and it had already closed. So we decide to just drive all the way over to Stephanie's apt and find something over there that was open to get her toothbrush. Long story short we got lost and the other girls actually got back to the apt before we did. It was ridiculous!

Saturday Sarah, Steph D. and Meghan went for a walk, Steph. H. was asleep still and I watched tv. We ate sandwiches there and then headed off to the Braves game. We took Marta which was a great idea cause we saved money doing that instead of parking at the game.The game was great!

Now leaving the game wasn't so great. Being on the marta with tons of other people who were leaving the game was a little annoying. There were a group of drunk guys that were being loud. When they got off at their stop we all got to sit down. It rode for a while, much longer than any of us remember riding to get to the game. And several of the stops didn't sound familiar. Steph. D. got up and checked the map and yup we missed our stop. We actually rode to the end lol. We were all so tired that we just sat there zoned out waiting to hear our stop called that no one payed attention to the fact we needed to switch trains. So then we sat on the train waiting to ride back to our stop. We finally get to where we were suppose to get off and switch trains. Then we had to wait over 10mins for the correct train. Well we finally made it to our stop after 2 hours! on the marta lol. We went out to eat of course by that time we were STARVING cause it was almost 11pm.

Sunday Meghan left and the rest of us went to lunch. After lunch Sarah and I headed back home. Over all it was a crazy weekend traveling but we had such a fun time. And it makes for a great story later.

North Myrtle Beach 2013 ! ! ! !

We had an AWESOME time!

Starting at the beginning and let me go ahead and say this is going to be a looong post so get ready. 

I left Albany Wednesday after work and drove up to Augusta and spent the night with Betsy and Matty. I got to meet their dogs which was interesting. Mikey was very sweet and friendly and Connie, which is a chihuahua, absolutely HATED me. lol. Anyways we left Thursday morning headed off to North Myrtle Beach! Woo Hoo!!!! We got there and ate supper, got groceries and walked on the beach all before the rest of the group got there (stephanie & randy, stephanie & josh). They couldn't leave till Thursday afternoon. 

Friday I woke up at 7. Layed in bed till 8 then layed in the hammack till 8:45 when I just couldn't sit around any longer. I was still the only one up so I went ahead and got ready and went down to the beach. It wasn't long after that the rest of the group made it down. We spent most of the afternoon on the beach. That night we all looked really cute wearing dresses went to the Melting Pot.(of course that night we didn't take a single picture lol o well) It was good but I didn't think it was amazing. lol. Steph & Steph wanted to go out and do something but we went back to the house for a little bit and Stephanie W. took a "nap" and didn't wake up till the next day. hahahaha. 

Saturday Betsy & Matty went shopping for some baby clothes (cause Betsy is pregnant in case I failed to mention that before) and the rest of us went down to the beach. We had an AWESOME time. There may have been some drinking involved hahaha. For the most part Stephanie R. and Josh were in the ocean and Randy, Stephanie W. and I sat in beach chairs in the water talking about well everything. The main topic being what would we do if we won the lottery. Now remember alcohol is involved so the answers were hilarious! For example whoever won would buy a resort at the beach and we would all live there and non of us would ever work again. There would be a personal Japaneses chief for Steph. W. and a personal pizza chief for Randy. It was just really funny.

 

Saturday night was the real adventure. We went and ate at a local place called Duffys street. It was alright. After dinner Betsy & Matty went back to the house and the rest of us went to Broadway at the Beach. Of course we stopped first to get them energy drinks, which by the way never give Stephanie R. a "Nos energy drink" she goes crazy! Well some people, I won't call them out, had to use the bathroom before we got there, they just couldn't wait. So we pulled over at a Hampton Inn. Yes that is right we stopped at a hotel for them to use the bathroom. It was so funny.We finally make it to Broadway at the Beach. We walk around some. Steph & Steph got henna tattoos of unicorns. Yes unicorns! lol. I bought a new belly button ring, which matches my bathing suite. We then went to the club that was there. Well actually it's like 4 clubs but they're all in one big building split up in different rooms or whatever. Oh the club. . . where do I even start? It should probably be a separate post hahaha. Well the 5 of us danced for a while. There were plenty of funny things to see like . . . oooooollllld man dancing with a group of girls, a creepy old man prob in his 50's with THICK BIG glasses dancing, and Stephanie R. dancing with a group of black girls. The craziest thing to happen though was when a guy came and asked me to dance. Now if you know me I am not a big fan of strangers. I have NEVER in my life accepted an invitation to dance by a guy I didn't know! Of course I do live in Albany and if a guy asks you to dance you do not want to dance with him. Bunch of losers here. Anyways . . . . I turned around and looked at Steph. R. and she was nodding her head yes lol so . . . I danced with him. The song was already half over so we didn't dance long but then he asked if I wanted to go talk and hangout some. I stood there for a moment, looked back at my friends dancing with their husbands, turned back around to look at him and said "sure". So I told Steph & Randy I was gonna go talk to this guy. They laughed and gave me all the crazy looks and then I quickly walked away before they embarrassed me any more hahaha. He led me through the club, which was huge, to a type of tiki bar area that was outside and a little bit quieter than inside. We only talked for a few mins. His name was Chris. He was pretty drunk lol. I went back to find my friends but soon got tired of dancing so I went to the bar that was in the area we were in and got a drink. I stood near by where they were dancing just sipping on my drink and people watching (one of my top 5 activities). Then I saw Chris over there talking to Randy. He started walking through the crowd on the dance floor then he spotted me. He came over and apologized for being a little drunk before but now he had sobered up some and wanted to know if I wanted to go back outside and hangout some more. Once again I said sure. I told Steph & Randy where I was going and followed Chris back outside. I'm telling you he was the nicest drunk person I have ever met! He never really hit on me, didn't say anything inappropriate, didn't get handsy, was polite, offered to get me a coke or water since I wasn't drinking any more. Just really surprised me meeting someone like him. So when my friends were ready to leave they found me and I said goodbye to him and . . .  gave him my number! I know totally out of character for me!!!! I have never given my number to a stranger before, hell I rarely give out my number to people I do know haha. Anyways the ride home was pretty eventful as well. I was by this time feeling like I'm on cloud nine hahaha, Steph W. is feeling sick so we were racing to get back to the house before bad things happened hahaha and Steph R. was cracking up at Steph W. There was a lot of commotion to say the least in the backseat coming from the 3 of us. OH and Randy told us the story of what Chris had said to him when he was talking to him. Apparently Chris went over there to ask them where I was but . . . he got my name wrong HAHAHAHA. . . it went like this
 Chris: hey do you know where Kelsey is?
 Randy: sorry dude I don't know a Kelsey
 Chris: she's got jewels on her shirt
Randy: I don't know who you're talking about
So for the rest of the weekend I was Kelsey. Kelsey with the jewels. It was freaking HILARIOUS! But hey Kelsey and Casey are pretty close at least for being in a loud club. lol. Anyways Chris did get my name right later. Well we finally make it back to the house and Betsy and Matty are asleep which is understandable it was after 2:30 in the morning. We tired to be as quite as possible. Josh ended up making a late night run to CVS for some pepto bismol for the Steph's. I went to bed cause I was fine, I hadn't had greasy fried food and alcohol hahaha.

Sunday everyone was much better. We all went down to the beach and had a great time! Took some fun pictures.

Sunday night Betsy made some DELICIOUS spaghetti and we ate at the house then took some pictures in the back of the house we were staying at. It was on the inlet which was cool.

After pictures we went to eat dessert at the Melting Pot. It was really good. Then we went to play mini golf. Matty and I tied for 1st place and then we rubbed it in every ones face hahaha.

Monday we got up cleaned up some and headed home. I rode back with Betsy and Matty to their house in Augusta. Then I drove on home from there. We left the beach a few mins after 9 and I got home at 6:30. It was a long drive but sooooo worth it. We had such a great time!

memorial day weekend

Well Friday I had dinner with Brooke and then we went to Kmart and Walmart.

Hahahaha nothing really interesting happened Friday. We did however buy a hot pink kiddie pool at walmart!

Saturday she came over and we proceeded to blow up the pool which took way longer than you would think. First I couldn't find the air compressor. Finally found it but it wouldn't work right for the pool. So we went to Brookes house to get her dads. Got back to my house and started blowing up the pool. Which took a while cause I had to remember how to get the air compressor to do it. We had used it before to blow up a "blowup doll" for a prank once (pretty-nice-weekend) so I knew I had done it before. It was a littler difficult pinching the thing on the pool where you blow and also moving the little level inside the nossle of the air compressor since we didn't have a tip for it. Anyways we did finally get 2 of the 3 rings on it blown up. Then we decided we would fill it up and drag it over to where we were gonna lay out. Well turns out we couldn't even budge it once it had water in it. yea we looked stupid lol. So we had to dump the water and move the water hose to the other side of the house and fill it up over there. Luckily we were able to get the hose over to where we wanted to lay. Of course by the time we got ALL this done it was about 4:30 so not much tanning to be had then. But at least we were ready for Sunday.

Sunday she came over and we pumped up the rings we had filled up on Saturday a little more and blew up the last ring. Then we layed out. It was great. The water in the pool was SUPER cold but other than that it was a nice day laying out. By the way we were right next to the drive way and anyone that drove by could see us. So that was kind of funny.

Monday I couldn't sleep anymore. I had slept so much over the weekend and I had to get up and do something. So I did laundry, dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and got the trash together all before 12. I had lunch with Brooke and then we went to see Star Trek. It was great. After that I didn't do all that much. Made dinner and started packing for the beach. Woo Hoo just a couple more days!

Sunday was suppose to be the SSR (social security run, all the cars are over 60 something years old, and we "race", keep up with your time ever where we go and who ever has the shortest running time wins) but it rained. Most of these cars can't really be driven in that type of weather so it was canceled. Instead we hungout at the hotel till after lunch. Then my parents, aunt and I went to the Hills and Dales Estate. It's a famous estate and garden that the Callaways bought a long time ago and blah blah blah. It was pretty.

 

 

Saturday night was the banquette. It was a costume theme. Just whatever costume you want to wear. It was pretty funny.

Sunday it was just drizziling some so we rushed over to load the car onto the trailer. However it started thundering and pouring down raining once we started. Then it started to lightening. So dad and I sat in the truck till it let up some. Then we just dealt with the rain and got the car on the aluminum trailer. You can see why we didn't want to be out in the lightening. lol. We got drenched but o well. No one melted. Over all it wasn't my favorite trip but o well.
