Well gmommy is fine physically speaking. Her stomach is great after the last surgery which sewed her up. She eats whatever she wants, she gets enough nutrients from eating so she doesn't need an iv or pic line. There's only one thing that is keeping her from having her life back. HER. She won't get up, she won't fix her own coffee, she won't even take a bath. She just wants to sit in her chair or lay on the couch and do nothing and sleep all day. There's nothing wrong with her she's just become lazy and doesn't want to do things her self. She's gotten accustomed to people doing things for her that she's become lazy. Also she doesn't like to be alone and for the past year there has been someone with her 24hrs a day. So she pretends that she's to weak and can't remember things and can't do anything, thinking that it will keep someone there with her all the time.
Well everyone has told her that it isn't going to happen. She has to get up and start doing things for herself. That mom and aunt darlene aren't going to continue coming up and staying with her as ofter as they have, and all of her nurses are about to start new jobs. She still refuses to do anything. So they called her doctor and got him to approve physical therapy. So probably 2x a week she will have to go to physical therapy. Their hoping that this will force her to start working and moving. If this doesn't work then she will be in an assisted living home probably by summer. Mom and aunt darlene are going to go look at some places in a month or so and if gmommy hasn't made any progress by then she'll be moving to one of those.
Either way she will probably be in an assisted living home by the summer.
