On the 18th and 19th Eddie, my brother-in-law, and his crew came down and put a new roof on our house. It was loud! and messy! But Erin brought the kids down for the weekend so I got to see them so that was nice. On Saturday morning we all went outside and helped pick up debre from the old roof and throw it in the dump trailer. The dump closes at 12 on Saturday so we all helped out so that they could get there before they close lol. It was kind of funny watching Ashton push the magnetic thing around picking up nails and Evan trying to help pick up a lot of shingles at once. Ansley just followed my dad, Pops, around the whole time. Which was cute, especially when he was pushing her around in a wheelbarrow like he use to do with Erin and I.

zumba
First I have to start off by telling how I got Zumba. My Mawmaw who is 85yrs old is a shopaholic. She loves to spend money and money is her favorite thing in the entire world. I am not exaggerating! She buys things all the time that she finds in stores, online and yes on QVC. It's always junk and then she tries to give it away to people and plays it off like she was so sweet and thoughtful to buy this for you. No, really she bought it for herself and decided she didn't want it. Anyways, Zumba was her latest purchase. Now let me explain something about her. Not only is she 85yrs old, she also has horrible arthritis in most of her joints, and she needs to have both of her knees replaced! She uses a cane to get around even though she needs to be using a walker, but she refuses to use a walker. So to sum up what I just went over my 85yr old grandmother who is stricken with arthritis and has two terrible knees bought zumba for HERSELF!
Obviously she couldn't use it and so she gave it to us, and I'm using it. Hopefully it'll actually work and do me some good and I can tone some of these areas I don't like.

NEW LAPTOP!
So my laptop has been getting progressively slower and slower and a can't really store anything on it any more because it doesn't have the space even though I've cleaned it out. So I finally saved up the money to get a new one! So excited!

Girls Chistmas 2012
Christmas 2012
I'm so glad that Christmas is over. I hate to be a Scrooge but I really can't stand Christmas time. Trying to shop for so many people, out in all the crazyness at stores, people are rude and stupid, traveling all over the place visiting people, what do I get, are they going to like it, am I going to like what I get, etc. Thanks for buying me something you know I'm going to take back. (my mom does that every year) I really don't like any of it.
I live with my parents and work with my parents so during the holidays the last thing I want to do is spend time with them. I know that may sound terrible but I don't care that's the way it is. They should stop praying that I find someone, cause if I do then hopefully we'll move far away. And if we move far away we will never come home for Christmas. "Love you, miss you, hope you like the gifts we sent you".
I would love to go to the beach on some island, alone! That is how I would like to spend Christmas. Just mail people their presents then take off. That would be perfect.
However I'm sure none of that will ever happen. This year we went up on saturday morning, I drove cause dad was too tired and we don't let mom drive, to Gmommys house. We picked her up and took her to this family get together that one of her cousins put together. I knew maybe 4 people there. But Gmommy had a great time and that's all that matters. We get back to her house and I spend the rest of the evening working on some pictures. Sunday we loaded up the van and took Gmommy with us to my sisters house. We had a great time visiting with them and have Christmas with them. The kids loved the hockey sticks I got them. They spent a couple of hours outside playing.
We finally left there and headed back home to Albany with Gmommy with us. Monday we were suppose to go to my aunts house in Dothan and spend the night but I told them I wasn't going. My cousins weren't there so it would have been my parents, g mommy, my aunt & uncle and me. woo hoo sounds like a lot of fun doesn't it. Well it ended up that they didn't go either because of the weather. So Monday I went and got some more dog food for my friend Brooke's dog. I'm feeding her while their out of town. I got the food and went back to her house and fed her, all in the pouring rain, by the way it's an outside dog, then went back home. Didn't do much Monday which is exactly what I wanted. Monday night I went over to my friend Brad's house and hung out with him. Tuesday we did go over to my aunt and uncles house and spent the day with them. We had a late breakfast, watched "The Expendables 2" and munched on junk food the rest of the afternoon. The Expendables 2 was great, loved it. Kind of funny how other people were watching Christmas movies and we watch that. Well we finally leave and get home around 8:30 and I went to go fed the dog again. Then my parents and I had our Christmas. It was nice. Then on Friday we drove up to Gmommys. I drove moms van with mom and Gmommy and dad drove his truck. He had to pick up a bathtub and I was going to come back home on saturday so we took two cars. Saturday we head over to a little church and had Christmas with my dads side of the family. It was nice.
Then I drove back home and my parents spent the night at my mawmaws house. Over all it wasn't horrible but I would have been much happier sitting at home.

Am I terrible for not feeling bad?
Ok so the nastiest prank I ever pulled was waaay back years ago. My friends and I were on our annual summer trip to the beach. We were young and on our own.
Well that Saturday we had all gone back up to the room for lunch. Stephanie H. started complaining about a spot on her stomach stinging. I looked at it and sure enough she had a jelly fish sting. No biggy. Well she kept complaining about it and said it was getting worse.
Now being the thoughtful, sweet and caring friend that I am . . .
I told her that it would just stop stinging on its own. She wasn't very happy with that. So I told gave her the alternative. "Stephanie you can pee on yourself"
Obviously she wasn't happy with that suggestion either. Actually she didn't even believe me. However it is absolutely true you can look it up. Well since I am know to make things up from time to time she asked Sarah if it were true. You see Sarah at the time was an EMT and carried her EMT bag on all of our trips just in case. So she pretty much has the world of medicine in there. I look over at Sarah and she just nodded her head and said yup. Stephanie of course still wasn't buying it. So Sarah and I began really pouring it on. "Stephanie I swear to you that it works. I've seen it on tv, on survival shows, discovery channel, I've read about it." Sarah of course was giving all kinds of medical reasons why it would work, how the acid in your pee neutralizes the poison. I'm telling you anything that sounded like it could be true we said. So Steph finally starts believing us and is contemplating actually peeing on herself. So then we play the "I don't care what you do, you're the one that's hurt" card. Like we didn't care. (By the way we very much do care about the safety and well being of our friends, but this was a little jellyfish sting come on) So then Steph asks us "How in the world am I suppose to pee on myself anyways? It's on my stomach. I can't very well pee up!" Well I jumped right in with, "Steph just pee and get some on a tissue and then hold it against the sting" Of course that disgusted Steph and frankly the rest of us. But I held a straight face. She still wasn't sure if she could bring herself to do that so I told her not to then. Keeping with the idea that I'm not trying to get her to do something gross and ridiculous. FINALLY she decides to try. She goes into the bathroom and shuts the door. Sarah and I have our ears up against the door to listen. (yes we're weirdos) The other girls suddenly realized that Sarah and I have been playing Steph the whole time and just wanted to see if she'd pee on herself. So their cracking up laughing now. Steph asks one last time through the bathroom door, "are yall serious! Will this really work? Yall are just joking aren't you!" Sarah and I replied with, "It works! Do you really think we'd let you pee on yourself if Sarah had medicine!?" To which Steph replied, "YES!" hahaha she knows us so well. We finally hear the sound of peeing . . . and being the sweet friends that we are, we started banging on the door and told her to stop "Stop, Sarahs got some medicine in her bag". She didn't take the news that bad. She really didn't get mad, probably cause we stopped her before the worse part. She yells through the door "I knew you were lying! Yall are soo mean!". I explained that we really weren't because we didn't actually let her pee on herself. Sarah went and got some stinging medicine from her bag and gave it to Steph. All was well with the world. And we all got a huge laugh.
After that Stephanie felt fine and she wasn't even mad at us.

Flu Shots
It drives me crazy hearing the MEDIA say that medical professionals recommend, suggest or even mandate that someone get the flu vaccine every year. But it's true hospitals, doctors and pharmacists push for people to get vaccinated. Is it necessary? No! I know several people who have gotten the flu shot and then got the flu. I am not saying that the shot caused them to get the flu I'm just saying it obviously didn't work. I on the other hand have never gotten the flu nor the flu shot. I know several people who are just like me. So to make an informative argument with those who insist on arguing that I need to get the shot . . . (you can all shut the fuck up by the way, no one asked for you dumbass opinion) I decided to do a little research. Here is some of the things I found.
So there you have it. My reasons for not getting the flu shot and why I think others shouldn't be required too. You should never push someone to do something with their body that they are not comfortable with or that they themselves know is not right for them. No one knows your body like you do and if you feel like something is wrong or you shouldn't be taking something then chances are you're right. Just because someone has a degree in something does not make them the end all be all knowledge of all that is right for you! Do your own research, find things out for yourself, seek multiple opinions (cause in fact that is what a doctor is giving you, their opinion). So get the flu shot or don't, but do it based on what you have learned and not what others tell you.
- A hospital in Indiana fired several employees for refusing to get the flu shot. One of the was a 61yr old woman has worked there for 22 years. "This is my body. I have a right to refuse the flu vaccine," Hoover, 61, told ABCNews.com. "For 21 years, I have religiously not taken the flu vaccine, and now you're telling me that I believe in it." Allen Phillips a North Carolina lawyer has represented health care employees over the years, fighting for their rights to get out of mandated flu shots. He normally deals with a few dozen a year but during the fall of 2012 he dealt with 150! -Nurse fired for refusing shot
- "Jahnulie did not get the flu vaccine. "Every year she gets it and she still ends up here. So, for me, it wasn't different. I say FluMist, she end up having pneumonia so I feel like she's going to end up having it anyway," her mother said." - WATE.com
- So the flu shot contains three killed seasonal flu viruses. Right there you can see that your limited, it will only help with those 3 specific viruses that researches believe will be most common during the up comming season. "The ability of a flu vaccine to protect a person depends on the age and health status of the person getting the vaccine, and the similarity or “match” between the viruses or virus in the vaccine and those in circulation." I will comment on that subject later in the post. The side effects of the shot are : soreness, redness or swelling where the shot was given (duh), fever, and aches. So pretty much flu symptoms thanks a lot! Reason you may still get the flu: if you are exposed to it with-in two weeks of getting the shot (because the shot hasn't had time to work yet), or you are exposed to one of the flu viruses that were not included in the shot (which is most of them). - CDC explaination
- Now why it doesn't work! and i loved this article. The vaccine works by the inactive virus chemically matching with proteins in the body. These proteins then begin to produce antibody's to fight that certain virus. However if your body isn't fast enough at making them and you are exposed to the flu you will get sick. That's why they say it could take 2 weeks for it to fully take effect. Even though it really depends on your body, it could take longer. Or you just never produce enough antibody's to fight it. In which case it is a complete waste to get the shot in the first place. Another reason is you are exposed to soon after getting the shot. Another reason being that you are exposed well after you've gotten the shot. Meaning it has lost it's effect. Another reason is your body may not recognize the inactive viruses in the shot therefor it was a complete waste. Another reason being you are exposed to a flu virus that was not included in the shot or the virus has changed and the shot you received was a waste. Another reason is that your body can not recognize the active virus even though you were injected with the inactive virus. - Why it doesn't work
- Here comes some scary truth for you.Researchers in Vancouver discovered that during the 2009 swine flu epidemic people who got the flu shot were actually more susceptible to get the swine flu! They did 5 separate studies in other area that all came to the same result as they did. "'What was a bit surprising when we looked at some of the data from Canada and Hong Kong in the last year is that people who have been vaccinated in 2008 with the seasonal or ordinary vaccine seemed to have twice the risk of getting swine flu compared to the people who hadn't received that vaccine,' [Professor Collignon from the Australian National University] said. " So if that isn't dangerous enough here is what is happening by taking this shot. If you get infected with a virus your body produces antibody's to fight it naturally. By doing so you body is now prepared to protect itself next year against that virus, similar viruses and some viruses that are completely different. However by getting the flu shot you stop that from happening. You prevent the natural way that the body defends itself. The human body is miraculous in how it works why keep it from doing that? People are constantly taking medication and vaccines for things that truly we just need to suffer through. Your body is your best defense. We have so many bacteria, viruses and other terrible things out there that don't respond to medicine all because they have adapted to it because we over medicate so much. The flu is included in that! There are HUGE differences between a natural immunity and a vaccine immunity, so much that to over look the benefits of having a natural immunity would be in my opinion idiotic!- It increases the risk of other illnesses including the flu

Grumpier Old Men
Ok so I realize that I am a 25yr old woman but I love this movie. I watch it every time it comes on, which is fairly often on CMT. hahaha. Here are some of my favorite quotes;
Grandpa: ...and finally Baby Bear looked up and he said, "Somebody's been sleeping in my bed, and the bastard's still there!" But Goldilocks had a Remington semiautomatic...with a scope and a hair trigger! And that was the end...of the Three Bears.
Max: What I wanted to say, Maria...what I'm trying to say...is that...there are many women floating in the river...but you're the only one that I want to stuff...and stick over on my wall...over the fireplace.
Maria: I haven't been with a man for a long time
Max: Me neither.
Grandpa: I'm done.
John: Pop, I really wish you'd try the low fat bacon...
Grandpa: Well you can wish in one hand and crap in the other, and see which gets filled first!
Grandpa: Well let me tell you something now, Johnny. Last Thursday, I turned 95 years old. And I never exercised a day in my life. Every morning, I wake up, and I smoke a cigarette. And then I eat five strips of bacon. And for lunch, I eat a bacon sandwich. And for a midday snack?
John: Bacon.
Grandpa: Bacon! A whole damn plate! And I usually drink my dinner. Now according to all of them flat-belly experts, I should've took a dirt nap like thirty years ago. But each year comes and goes, and I'm still here. Ha! And they keep dyin'. You know? Sometimes I wonder if God forgot about me. Just goes to show you, huh?

Peanut peanut butter and jelly!
I love it when I'm just sitting here and a random kids song pops into my head. Has nothing to do with what I'm thinking about or with what I'm doing. Today it's peanut, peanut butter and jelly! I have never like peanut butter but as a kid I loved that song and for some strange reason I sudden had it pop into my head and I had to look up the lyrics. Funny how we remember so much stuff from our childhood, even things as silly as a song.
First you take the peanuts
And you crunch 'em,
You crunch 'em
First you take the peanuts
And you crunch 'em,
You crunch 'em
For your peanut, peanut butter
And jelly
Peanut, peanut butter

Then you take the grapes
And you squish 'em,
