Grumpier Old Men

Ok so I realize that I am a 25yr old woman but I love this movie. I watch it every time it comes on, which is fairly often on CMT. hahaha. Here are some of my favorite quotes;

Grandpa: ...and finally Baby Bear looked up and he said, "Somebody's been sleeping in my bed, and the bastard's still there!" But Goldilocks had a Remington semiautomatic...with a scope and a hair trigger! And that was the end...of the Three Bears.

Max: What I wanted to say, Maria...what I'm trying to say...is that...there are many women floating in the river...but you're the only one that I want to stuff...and stick over on my wall...over the fireplace.

Maria: I haven't been with a man for a long time
Max: Me neither.

Grandpa: I'm done.
John: Pop, I really wish you'd try the low fat bacon...
Grandpa: Well you can wish in one hand and crap in the other, and see which gets filled first!

Grandpa: Well let me tell you something now, Johnny. Last Thursday, I turned 95 years old. And I never exercised a day in my life. Every morning, I wake up, and I smoke a cigarette. And then I eat five strips of bacon. And for lunch, I eat a bacon sandwich. And for a midday snack?
John: Bacon.
Grandpa: Bacon! A whole damn plate! And I usually drink my dinner. Now according to all of them flat-belly experts, I should've took a dirt nap like thirty years ago. But each year comes and goes, and I'm still here. Ha! And they keep dyin'. You know? Sometimes I wonder if God forgot about me. Just goes to show you, huh?

Peanut peanut butter and jelly!

I love it when I'm just sitting here and a random kids song pops into my head. Has nothing to do with what I'm thinking about or with what I'm doing. Today it's peanut, peanut butter and jelly! I have never like peanut butter but as a kid I loved that song and for some strange reason I sudden had it pop into my head and I had to look up the lyrics. Funny how we remember so much stuff from our childhood, even things as silly as a song.

First you take the peanuts
And you crunch 'em,
You crunch 'em
First you take the peanuts
And you crunch 'em,
You crunch 'em

For your peanut, peanut butter
And jelly
Peanut, peanut butter
And jelly

Then you take the grapes
And you squish 'em,
You squish 'em
Then you take the grapes
And you squish 'em,
You squish 'em

For your peanut, peanut butter
And jelly
Peanut, peanut butter
And jelly

Then you take the bread
And you spread it,
You spread it
Then you take the bread
And you spread it,
You spread it

For your peanut, peanut butter
And jelly
Peanut, peanut butter
And jelly

Then you take your sandwich
And you eat it,
You eat it
Then you take your sandwich
And you eat it,
You eat it

'Cause its good, peanut butter
And jelly
Good, peanut butter
And jelly

First you take the peanuts
And you crunch 'em,
Then you take the grapes
And you squish 'em,
Then you take the bread
And you spread it,
Then you take your sandwich
And you eat it

'Cause its good, peanut butter
And jelly
Good, peanut butter
And jelly!

Little Town of Christmas

Here are my favorites from the play I was just in at Theatre Albany. By the way the are not in order.
Chet was speaking into a mason jar to sound spooky
Kim was one of my favorite people to be around.
Mrs. Santa Claus giving advice. It was very funny.

This was one of the funnest skits. A kid quizzing a street santa, but there was a twist at the end.

our elves

T.A. our news caster was so great. The first time we all saw him with that wig on it was hilarious! He's got a shaved head.

Mark the director at Albany Theatre and Joanna. She is so great!
Chet cracks me up!

seriously he is HILARIOUS!
the adorable 3 wisemen. Pretty much stole the show! they were wonderful

Jessica's character "Helen" was a trailer trash woman with a redneck accent. It was great!

Chet was a redneck and Joanna was his spanish wife.
it was hilarious!

So there you have it. Some of my favorite people and moments in the play. I wish I had pictures of the things that happen back stage cause those were moments I'll never forget.

Me in The Little Town of Christmas

So I finally tried out for a play at our local Theatre, Theatre Albany also known as Little Theatre, and I made it. It was "The Little Town of Christmas". I had a great time being involved and getting to know some wonderful people. We preformed on Dec.6-9th and 13-16th. Here are just some pictures of the scenes that I was in and I'll make another post for some of my favorite pictures from the play.

the Christmas Carolers

I was Mrs. Cratchet

Waitress scene
we were all very greedy yet giving people

I was also a narrator for the Advice from Mrs. Claus scene but we didn't take pictures of narrators.

Seriously?

I feel like toy makers don't even bother coming up with new ideas. They just bring back old ones like no one will notice. WE DO! I had that as a child, it isn't new, you're retarded.

This just really pisses me off when people like this, with a buggy full of stuff, goes to check out in the garden center check out. This woman actually and one buggy full and had her kids carrying more stuff. I had one thing!!!!! and she didn't offer to let me go ahead of her. Stupid Bitch.

Just felt like sharing this wonderfulness that happens every afternoon at work. The beautiful sun shines in and makes it incredibly aggravating to work on.

CANDY ! ! !

My mom was having a Christmas party at our house and wanted me to make this candy. We are also going to take some to my family cause they love it. So here's how it goes.
Starting out you have to make the coconut-pecan filling ones and put them in the freezer.
these are the peanut butter filling ones.

Here are the coconut and pecan ones. they have to be chilled in the freezer for a while before you can roll them in the chocolate because there so soft.

Once the chocolate has cooled I drizzle chocolate over them to make it a little prettier.

It's kind of messy

These are just the coconut pecan ones. the peanut butter ones were put in a container.

Over all it took me 3 hrs. there were over 100 pieces. and the ridiculous part about it all is I don't eat any of them! I don't like peanut butter, coconut or pecans. yea i spent 3hrs making candy that i don't even like for other people to eat. but doesn't it look pretty!
