memorial day weekend

Well Friday I had dinner with Brooke and then we went to Kmart and Walmart.

Me: it smells weird out here
Brooke: probably house of china killing animals
Me: yea but their tasty animals
Brooke: yea and they deliver

Hahahaha nothing really interesting happened Friday. We did however buy a hot pink kiddie pool at walmart!

Saturday she came over and we proceeded to blow up the pool which took way longer than you would think. First I couldn't find the air compressor. Finally found it but it wouldn't work right for the pool. So we went to Brookes house to get her dads. Got back to my house and started blowing up the pool. Which took a while cause I had to remember how to get the air compressor to do it. We had used it before to blow up a "blowup doll" for a prank once (pretty-nice-weekend) so I knew I had done it before. It was a littler difficult pinching the thing on the pool where you blow and also moving the little level inside the nossle of the air compressor since we didn't have a tip for it. Anyways we did finally get 2 of the 3 rings on it blown up. Then we decided we would fill it up and drag it over to where we were gonna lay out. Well turns out we couldn't even budge it once it had water in it. yea we looked stupid lol. So we had to dump the water and move the water hose to the other side of the house and fill it up over there. Luckily we were able to get the hose over to where we wanted to lay. Of course by the time we got ALL this done it was about 4:30 so not much tanning to be had then. But at least we were ready for Sunday.

Sunday she came over and we pumped up the rings we had filled up on Saturday a little more and blew up the last ring. Then we layed out. It was great. The water in the pool was SUPER cold but other than that it was a nice day laying out. By the way we were right next to the drive way and anyone that drove by could see us. So that was kind of funny.

Monday I couldn't sleep anymore. I had slept so much over the weekend and I had to get up and do something. So I did laundry, dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and got the trash together all before 12. I had lunch with Brooke and then we went to see Star Trek. It was great. After that I didn't do all that much. Made dinner and started packing for the beach. Woo Hoo just a couple more days!

Sunday was suppose to be the SSR (social security run, all the cars are over 60 something years old, and we "race", keep up with your time ever where we go and who ever has the shortest running time wins) but it rained. Most of these cars can't really be driven in that type of weather so it was canceled. Instead we hungout at the hotel till after lunch. Then my parents, aunt and I went to the Hills and Dales Estate. It's a famous estate and garden that the Callaways bought a long time ago and blah blah blah. It was pretty.

 

 

Saturday night was the banquette. It was a costume theme. Just whatever costume you want to wear. It was pretty funny.

Sunday it was just drizziling some so we rushed over to load the car onto the trailer. However it started thundering and pouring down raining once we started. Then it started to lightening. So dad and I sat in the truck till it let up some. Then we just dealt with the rain and got the car on the aluminum trailer. You can see why we didn't want to be out in the lightening. lol. We got drenched but o well. No one melted. Over all it wasn't my favorite trip but o well.

mothers day weekend

Friday night I baby sat some kids. It was kind of strange since I haven't really baby sat since high school. The kids were great and did as they were told and in bed by 8:30 with few complaints.

Saturday mom and I went to Dothan to help throw a luncheon for Gmommy and some of her friends. Her friends were driving through Dothan on their way to the beach. So my mom and aunt Darlene decided to have a mothers day lunch for them all. The ladies loved it and Gmommy had a great time.

Afterwards mom, gmommy, aunt darlene, uncle randy and myself went to the lake house. We ate, played rumicube, and then went to bed. Sunday we had breakfast and just sat around talking till lunch lol. Mom and Aunt Darlene went to go get lunch which was from the local gas station. hahahaha yes I'm serious but it's like a home country type of restaurant in the gas station. Uncle Randy and I played 21 blackjack while gmommy slept. They got back and we had lunch. After lunch Gmommy and mom sat outside on the swing, Aunt Darlene and Uncle Randy went out on the kayaks and I layed out on the dock.

 We finally packed up and came home. Over all it was a nice time. Gmommy had a wonderful time and that's what really matters.

A busy weekend part 2

Sunday was another busy day. Dad drove the boys and Ansley to the ball field in the Model-A with Eddie driving dads truck and car trailer over there. Mom and I drove her van and Erin, Gabby and Rommie were in Erins car. By the way Gabby is 15 now and has her learners permit so she drove us around so Saturday. She's doing pretty good. Evan had a game first and they did really well. It's pretty awesome watching these kids now that their old enough to actually understand and focus.
 

  

  

 

 

  

Then Ashtons game was right after Evans. Ashton is soooooo good at pitching. He is just so focused.

 

 

 

 

After the games dad, Eddie and I got the car on the trailer. We all said goodbye and we left to come home.

It was close to 9:30 when we got home. Even though it was dark out dad and I unloaded the car while mom took all our stuff inside. When dad and I finished I went inside and took a shower. As I got ready to dry my hair I realized I had left my brush at Erins. Luckily I had another one. About half way through drying my hair I realized that I had unpacked my bag already and yet some of my bathroom stuff wasn't here. CRAP I left that as well. I was pissed. I decided that it was just time to go to bed and I will deal with it tomorrow. Thankfully my sister is the BEST BIG SISTER in the world and she's mailing it all to me. lol. Silly but some of my medicine is in that bathroom bag so I kinda need it.

Anyways . . . that was my busy crazy weekend.
